The hotel is clean and comfortable w/cable TV, A/C, coffee pot, small frig and microwave in each room, wireless access and a few rooms have kitchens. The 'Lodge' (common area) has a TV lounge, sauna, billiards, card table and more, and is adjacent to an outdoor common area. Birch Glen is set back from the road a ways and has lots of parking area plus a large grassy area out back. They are dog-friendly and really looking forward to all the Chessies (and their people) staying! We will ask that dogs be leashed in some areas (they unfortunately had a dog-bite incident last summer).

Reservations:  Birch Glen has 27 rooms and all rooms are being held for the Am Chesapeake Club until 8/15/12.

Rates: $60 - $80 (singles, double, triples) - ACC will get a 15% discount if we fill most/all of the motel (10% minimum discount). A few rooms have kitchenettes and are $10 more. The Cowboy suite w/4 double beds and kitchen is $100.00. Camping (no hook-ups) is available in the large grassy area out back for $20 a night - includes full use of the "Lodge" which has restrooms and showers.

Note:   Cascade has a grocery store and restaurants.  (try Grammas for Breakfast!) The Route 55 Cafe is just out front of the Birch Glen but unfortunately it closed since we were there in October.  We hope it will be re-opened by summer. If not, there are other places to eat nearby.
