The 2011
annual American Chesapeake Club National Specialty Show is being
held near Harrisburg in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country.
Please come join fellow Chesapeake lovers and celebrate the heritage of
the Chesapeake Bay Retriever as a versatile hunting dog, family
companion, protector and athlete.
The eight pointed star above is a
fairly common Pennsylvania Dutch Hex design. The star symbolizes
goodwill and friendship. The tulips represent faith and trust in
man and the sheaves of wheat symbolize abundance. This hex design
is often used to decorate large buildings and it proclaims
friendship, abundance, goodwill and a fitting partnership for the
Chesapeake Bay Retriever and our 2011 National Specialty Show.
We
have many activities planned for the week: Tracking, Agility,
Obedience, Rally, Breed, Working Dog Stakes, Seminars, Clinics, and
of course, fabulous fellowship. We are all brought together by the
love of this wonderful breed. While we often say it’s all about the
dogs, we usually find it’s also about the people. We invite you to
join us for the entire week of planned events and to meet old
friends and make new ones.
