Calcutta/Silent
Auction/Drawing - Entrants will be allowed
to purchase “shares” in running dogs using a modified “Calcutta”
format. The system of payouts will be posted at the time the
Calcutta board is opened (August 1st, at 5:00 PM).
Calcutta sign-ups for each stake will close prior to the running of
the test dog for that particular stake.
In addition to the Calcutta we will be holding
a silent auction for gifts donated by commercial vendors as well as
ACC members and Chesapeake friends. To this end we encourage ACC
members to bring items that they would like to contribute to the
auction. We would particularly like to see items that reflect the
area from which you come. As an example, you can be sure to see
some Minnesota wild rice and maple syrup. If we get a sufficient
number of high-quality items we may also hold a drawing. In either
case (auction or drawing) proceeds will be used to support the
Specialty. If not attending, you can mail your auction item
to: Lorraine Sarek at: 12059 Leander Road, Cook, MN
55723-8330
Donations and Catalog Recognition - The
back pages of the Catalog will be used to recognize individuals who
contribute financial support to the Field Trial Specialty.
1. Financial Supporter: $10 (name and kennel
listed)
2. Special Recognition Supporter: $20 and up (max 4 lines of
text)
So for a modest ($10) contribution will get your name listed as a
“Financial Supporter” of the event. An opportunity also exists for
“Special Recognition” of individuals or dogs. This opportunity is
limited to four lines of text (max. 70 characters/line) set apart
from other catalog entries. An example entry would be:
